STORYTELLING, LIFE LETTERS & LEGACY WRITING COACH |

KEYNOTE SPEAKER & TRAINER

WHAT DO I DO?

I help people and business professionals leave their mark in the world. I do this from the stage as a keynote speaker and trainer, working mostly with business professionals on tools to cultivate resilience.

As a certified instructor in Guided Autobiography, longtime writing coach, and award-winning author, I also help people leave their mark in the world on the written page.

Some students have a desire to pass along written legacies to loved ones, others are more interested in the process of reflecting and sharing the stories that have shaped who they are. When we own our stories we become our most resilient selves.

WHY DO I
DO WHAT I DO

I am passionate about LIFE.

Partly this is on account of a tragedy, of losing my young husband to brain cancer when our twins were just two and a half years old. It took time for me to integrate this unimaginable loss but I just kept stepping forward in spite of my sorrow.

I had to prove to myself and to my young twins that life could still be sweet and meaningful and hopeful. This is how I wound up moving us away from New York City to Denver, Colorado to begin again.

Life happens and then you make life happen. Fifteen years later I’m still making lie happen; my twins are now in college, I’m happily remarried to a man who was also widowed raising two boys on his own, and together, we have blended our familes. Life is full of challenges and full of change. We can choose to stay stuck or we can choose to reflect, reframe, rebuild, reinvent, and recommit to growth.
